A six-storey building has caught fire in Chairmanbari area of Banani in the capital on Saturday morning.
The incident took place around 9:10am at the 2nd floor of the building housed the office of Ananda TV.
MD Raihanul, station officer (media) of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters, said the blaze started at a warehouse on the second floor of the six-storey building around 9.10am and spread soon.
As many as 15 fire fighting units have been pressed into service and “we are trying to control the blaze”, he said.
However, the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident so far.
