Bangladesh recorded 159 deaths and 6, 566 new cases of infections from coronavirus or Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

A press notification of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed this information on Thursday.

Till date, the number of total deaths stands at 24,878 while the total number of infections is 14 lakh 47 thousand 210.

The country saw tests of 37,226 samples in different laboratories in the last 24 hours.

The current positivity rate is now 17.64 percent.
