The dengue situation of the country is worsening amid coronavirus pandemic as some 194 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours.

Besides, it is being suspected that four people died with dengue virus.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed this information on Thursday.

Of the 194 patients, hospitals in the capital saw admission of 181 patients, the government notification claimed.

As of now, the number of total dengue admitted patients in hospitals is 642.

Meanwhile, data of four dead persons was sent to IEDCR for review.
