A youth was killed after a goods-laden lorry hit his bicycle in front of Hakim Tower of capital’s Moddho Badda on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Omor Farooque, 25, son of Khokon Bhuiyan. He was working at a private company in Gulshan.

Badda police sub-inspector (SI) Abu Hannan said the goods-laden lorry hit the bicycle carrying him while he was returning home from his office at 9:00pm in the area.

After the legal process, the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital’s morgue for autopsy, SI Abu Hannan said.

He also said police seized the killer vehicle and arrested its driver after the accident.
