Twenty eight more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours until 8 am on Sunday in Khulna division. This is the highest death in a day in Khulna division so far, a top health official said.

Besides, 763 more tested positive for the virus, raising the number of total cases to 45,032 and 194 have been cured from the disease.

Rasheda Sultana, Director of the Divisional Health Directorate, confirmed the matter to media.

Of the deceased, seven from Kushtia, four from Jashore, five from Chuadanga, four from Jheniaidah, two each from Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira, one each from Narai and Magura, she said.

Earlier on Saturday, 22 people died of Coronavirus in Khulna Division.
