An expecting mother and her son and daughter were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Mirpur Kalachand intersection in Sirajganj on Sunday noon.

The deceased were identified as Runi Khatun, 30, was an assistant teacher at Banbaria Government Primary School, wife of Masud Rana, their son Adi, 12 and daughter Sayeba, 6.

Ajabul Islam, assistant-sub-inspector of Sirajganj Sadar police station, said the auto-rickshaw carrying the victims were crushed between a bus and a truck on Sirajganj-Kadda regional road around 12:00 pm, leaving two passengers of the rickshaw dead on the spot and two others injured.

Another injured succumbed to his injuries in a local hospital, he said.
