Mercury plummets to 7.3 degree Celsius in Chuadanga, Srimangal

Severe cold wave is sweeping over northern and other parts of the country on Tuesday.

The lowest temperature was recorded at 7.3 degree Celsius  in Chuadanga and Srimangal on Tuesday, Meteorological Department said.

Earliar on Monday, the lowest temperature was recorded at 7.7 degree Celsius in Chuadanga on Monday.

 

A mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over 12 regions including Khulna, Met office added.

The cold wave sweeps over Madaripur, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Iswardi, Badalgachi upazila in Naogaon, Dinajpur, Tetulia upazila in Pnchagarh, Rajarhat in Kurigram, Khepupara upazila in Barishal.

Temperature may remain unchanged in the next 24 hours starting from 9 am of Tuesday. Riverine and other places may see fog.
