A mobile court run by Dhaka Metropolitan Police has fined an online shop Tk  2,50,000 for not delivering products in line with the orders.

The office of the online shop in Kalabagan was raided following allegation of not supplying products after receiving payment, selling unapproved and expired cosmetics and running a business on invalid licence.

Some Mahin Islam Tonny operates the business named “Imrose Collection” at a tiny apartment on the ground floor of a building at Free School Street. The mobile court passed the fine order on Monday following confessional statement of the owner.

Two aggrieved customers filed complaints with the Kalabagan Police Station for not receiving products three months ago.

An executive magistrate of the mobile court raided the shop office around 11 am and found authenticity of the allegation.

The cosmetics were improperly stored and expired. The shopkeeper could not show any import document.
