The novel coronavirus has killed 663,540​ people in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in Wuhan of China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far, 16,899,316 people were infected with coronavirus worldwide at 11:48 am on Wednesday (Bangladesh Time). Of them, 10,462,274 patients have been considered recovered.

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 5,773,502, the source said.

Among other coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 152,320 deaths, followed by Brazil with 88,634, UK 45,878, Mexico 44,876, Italy 35,123, France

30,223, India 34,240, Spain 28,436, Iran 16,147, Russia 13,504, China 4,634 , Indonesia 4,901, Saudi Arabia 2,789 and Australia 176 respectively, according to worldometer.
