Four ‘drug traders’ killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

Four people were killed in a reported gunfight between two groups of drug traders at Kharangkhali area of Teknaf upazial in Cox’s Bazar Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Nasir, 23, son of Abdus Salam, Anwar, 24, son of late Hakim Mia, Ismail, 25, son of late Nur Mohammad and Anwar Hossain, 22, son of Abdul Malek.

Police recovered two local guns, 50 thousand pieces of Yaba pills and eight rounds of cartridges from the spot.

Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Police Station, confirmed the news.
