Shawdesh desk: The novel coronavirus has killed 599,416 people in 213 countriens and territories since the outbreak emerged in China last December, according to latest figure from worldometer.

So far, 14,194,140 cases of coronavirus have been detected at 10:55 am till Saturday (Bangladesh Time), the source said. Of them,  8,470,275 patients have been considered recovered.

So far, the number of active cases are  5,124,449, the source said.

With the fresh tally in the 24 hours, 6,726 people died from coronavirus across the world while 244,754cases have been diagnosed, and a total  of 191,301 coronavirus infected patients have made  full recovery worldwide.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US death toll has gone up to 142,064, followed by Brazil with 77,932, UK 45,233, Mexico 38,310, Italy 35,028, France 30,152, Spain 28,420, Iran 13,791 and Indonesia 3,957 respectively, according to worldometer.
