Seven workers sustain burn injuries in Keraniganj steel mill

Shawdesh Desk: Seven workers of a steel mill in the city’s Keraniganj sustained burn injuries as melting iron spilt on them at the factor on Sunday morning.

The injured were identified as Rasel, 32, Redwan, 24, Sifat, 28, Sohag, 26, Babar, 35, Dulal, 30 and Sujon 27. All of them are workers of Kamal Steel Mills in Kadamtali of Keraniganj.

They were admitted to the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital after being recovered from the steel mill.
Abdul Gaffar Khan, assistant in-charge of DMCH police outpost, confirmed this to media.

“Of the injured, three workers, who were injured severely, has been receiving treatment at the burn unit, while rest four were discharged after primary treatment,” he added.
