Shawdesh DEsk: A man and his wife suffered burn injuries as a gas pipeline exploded at Kayempur of Fatullah in Narayanganj on Tuesday morning.

The victims are identified as Sharif and his wife Farida.

The incident took place at 6:00 am on 3rd floor at building of Mufti Nazrul Islam in the area.
According to locals, a sudden fire originating from gas stove as the pipe line had a leakage for long, leaving them injured.

Later, locals took the injured to 300-bed hospital in the city where duty doctor referred them to burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Fatullah Model Police Station, confirmed the matter.
