Jatiya party gets seven co-chairmen

Shawdesh Desk: Newly re-elected chairman of Jatiya Party (JP) GM Quader appointed seven co-chairmen, including a senior one, for the party on Sunday.

The information was revealed through a statement, signed by Sunil Shuvo Roy, press and political secretary of the party chairman.

Party chief GM Quader has announced the names of one senior co-chairman and six co-chairmen following the decision made during the party’s 9th national council, held on Saturday, the statement said.
According to the statement, Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud has been made senior co-chairman of the party.

Newly appointed six other co-chairmen are: ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader, Kazi Firoz Rashi, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Sayed Abu Hossain Babla, Mujibul Haque Chunnu and Advocate Salma Islam.

The appointment was made as per the sub-section 1/(1) and 2/kha of section 20 of the party constitution with immediate effect.
