Shawdesh Desk:

Three government law officers have been sacked for their alleged involvement in clashes during the votes counting of Supreme Court Bar Association election.

‘The appointment of lawyers Zakir Hossain, Kazi Bashir Ahmed and Shama Akhter have been revoked and they are relieved of the charges as  assistant attorneys general,’ said a notification issued on Sunday by the solicitor wing of the law ministry.

Of the three, Zakir and Bashir were among the 20 people, most of the lawyers, made accused in an attempt to murder case filed by assistant attorney general Saiful Islam Siddique Saif, over the clashes.

Saif is the supporter of Awami League-supported secretary Shah Monjurul Haque, the secretary-elect, while the three sacked AAG are the supporters of Nahid Sultana Juthi, the rebel AL secretary candidate and the wife of Awami Juba League chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash.
