An unidentified woman was killed and two others were injured as a shallow engine-driven trolley knocked down them at Shukdara area of Fakirhat upazila in Bagerhat.

The incident took place on Khulna-Mongla highway on Tuesday night. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

OC Rabiul Islam of Katakhali Highway Thana confirming the matter to media said the sand-laden Trolley rammed on the victims while it was heading towards Mongla from Katakhali, leaving the woman dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were admitted at Khulna Medical College and Hospital. The killer Trolley has been seized though the driver managed to flee the scene immediately after the incident, the OC added.
