Shawdesh Desk:
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said that the restrictions imposed to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the country would be lifted after February 21.
He came up with the announcement during a briefing after a cabinet meeting at the secretariat on Sunday.
The government took the decision as the Covid-19 infection rate is declining significantly in the country.
The government on January 10 issued several guidelines, including mandatory use of facemask and ban on rallies and public gatherings on social, religious and political purposes until further notice as daily Covid cases and test positivity were on the rise.
Later, the restrictions were extended till February 21 midnight.
