Ex-president of BFUJ and Jatiya Press Club Riazuddin Ahmed passes away

Former president and general secretary of undivided Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) and ex-president of Jatiya Press Club Reazuddin Ahmed has passed away at a hospital in the capital. He was 76.

He died at 1:30pm today while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka.

Reazuddin Ahmed was a Ekushey Award winning journalist and also the editor of The Financial Herald.

Expressing deep shock at the death of Reazuddin Ahmed, Jatiya Press Club general secretary Iliyas Khan said his body will be taken to Jatiya Press Club premises at 11:30am tomorrow for the last respect.

Sources said he was undergoing treatment at ICU of the United Hospital after being infected with Covid-19. Reazuddin Ahmed was the founder and editor of the News Today.
