Sylhet doctor tests positive for coronavirus

A physician of Sylhet Shamsuddin Ahmmed Hospital has been diagnosed with coronavirus.

The infected physician is Khaled Mahmud of surgery department, said Doctor Anisur Rahman, assistant director (Disease Control) of Sylhet Health Service.

His test result came out on Friday.

Earlier on April 15, Doctor Moyeen Uddin, assistant professor of the Medicine department of Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, died from coronavirus at Kurmitola General Hospital.

On May 6, Bangladesh Doctors Foundation (BDF) said more than 600 physicians and about 400 nurses at both government and private hospitals got infected with coronavirus while treating patient.
