The body of a bride, who drowned after two boats capsized in the Padma River on Friday, was found on Monday, raising the death toll from the incident to nine.
The body of Sweety Khatun, 20, daughter of Shahin Ali, of Aliganj in Poba upazila of Rajshahi, was found around 7:30 am.
Earlier on Saturday and Sunday, police and members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered the bodies of eight people.
Nine people, including a bride, went missing after two boats sank in the Padma River at Char Khidirpur on Friday evening due to strong currents.
