Shawdesh Desk: A college girl and her friend were gang raped at Oapda (stadium) area of Moulvibazar Town on Tuesday afternoon.

Police have so far arrested three accused in this connection.

One of the arrestee was identified as Munna, son of Islam Mia, resident of Uttar Jagannathpur village under Mostafapur union of the Sadar upazila.
According to local source, the girl and her friend were returning home from college riding on a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Tuesday afternoon. At one stage, four people ride on the auto-rickshaw in the disguise of passenger. Later, the miscreants tied the girls’ hand and mouth with scotch tape and took them to a nearby bush and raped them one after another. Later, the college student filed a case accusing five people with Moulvibazar Model Police Station.

Officer-in-charge of Moulvibazar Model Police Station Md Alamgir Hossen said they are conducting drive to nab the rest accused in the case.
