The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against 5 persons including former director of Satkhira Medical College Hospital (SMCH) Dr Sheikh Shahjahan Ali for embezzling government money worth Tk 6.6 crore.

The four others are M/S Mercantile Trade International owners Md Abdus Sattar and MD Ahsan Habib, Bengal Scientific & Surgical Cooperation owner Md Jaher Udddin Sarkar as well as Universal Trade Cooperation owner Md Asadur Rahman.

ACC public relations officer (PRO) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed this to the daily sun on Thursday.
