‘Shoroter Joba’ releases in theatres on 11 October

Popular actor Kushum Shikder’s directorial debut film “Shoroter Joba” is to hit theatres on 11 October.

Initially, the movie will be released in Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Movies and some others cinemas across the country. Later, the fill will be released on the OTT platform iScreen.

This was disclosed at press conference held at channel i building in the capital’s Tejgoan area on Saturday.

Besides directing, Kushum is also the producer of the film. Through the project, she has also returned to acting after five years.

The story of the film is based on a lonely woman Joba’s mysterious life. Insatiable love, injury after injury, some unexpected deaths, Joba’s life raises questions at various times. Is Joba really a killer? Or is there an invisible force with her? “Shoroter Joba” is built on such a thriller story.

The filming of the project was completed last year. The shooting of the film took place at Pahardanga in Kalia upazila of Narail. The movie received censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board in April this year.

The film also stars Yash Rohan, Jitu Ahsan, Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Nidra Dey Neha, Naresh Bhuiyan, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, Ashoke Bepari and others.

Kushun Shikder came into the limelight with “Lux-Anandhara Photogenic Championship” in 2002. Then, she acted in many dramas and serials. Kushum made her debut on the silver screen with the movie “Gohine Shobdo” in 2010 and she won the National Film Award in the Best Actress category for her performance in the movie “Shankhachil” directed by Gautam Ghosh in 2016. The actress was last seen in a television drama, directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar in 2018.
