Shawdesh Desk: The Ro-Ro ferry services on Shimulia-Kewrakandi route has remained suspended since Saturday morning due to poor navigability in the River Padma, causing immense sufferings to commuters.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) suspended the services as it became impossible to ply ferries on the route, said deputy General Manager of Shimulia Ghat Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury.

More than 300 vehicles remained stuck on both sides of the river, creating long tailbacks and causing immense sufferings to hundreds of passengers.
