Members of law enforcement agencies, including Bangladesh Army, in a joint drive on Saturday arrested 42 people involved in different criminal activities.

The raid was conducted between 6:00pm and 11:00pm.

Confirming the incident, Mohammadpur Police Station inspector (investigation) Md Hafizur Rahman said that they would produce 42 people to the court on Sunday.

‘The arrested include muggers, suspected robbers, members of teenaged gangs, murder accused and some political activists,’ said Hafizur.

He, however, could not confirm the number of cases filed against them.
