Content creator Ashraful Hossain, better known as Hero Alom, has announced to withdraw his candidature from the Bogura-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency in the 12th general election, scheduled to be held on January 7.

Hero Alom, a candidate of Bangladesh Congress party, made the announcement of quitting from the election race on his verified Facebook page Wednesday night.

Earlier, he appealed to the Election Commission challenging decision of the returning officer who cancelled his candidature and the EC on Sunday declared his nomination valid.

In his facebook post, Hero Alom said that he would apply to the returning officer on December 17 to withdraw his candidature.
