Several hundred people were seen waiting in queues for collecting ticket at Kamalapur Railway Station on Thursday, despite railway authorities’ declaration of no tickets.

Many people complained that they did not manage online tickets and they came to the station to buy standing tickets.

Mohammad Sayed Ali, a private company employee, said, ‘We have been waiting in queues since 8:00am. They were scheduled to open the counter at 11:00am.’

The Rajshahi bound passenger said that railway authority yet to open the counter till 12:00noon.

Kamalapur Railway station manager Mohamamd Masud Sarwar told New Age that they announced three times that all tickets were sold out.

‘We cannot do anything. All tickets are sold out.’
