Bangladesh has reported 48 more Covid cases with zero deaths in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.

The total fatalities remained unchanged at 29,426 as no death was reported during the period.

With the new infections, the caseload rose to 2,035,930, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

The daily case test positivity rate dropped to 1.72 per cent from Monday’s 1.79 per cent from as 2,798 samples were tested during the period.

The mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.45 percent while the recovery rate rose to 97.40 per cent.

In October, the country reported 60 Covid deaths and 10,043 cases.

Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28, 2021 and daily fatalities of 264 on August 10 the same year.
