The insurance companies should earn more public confidence through reaching services and benefits of insurance to people utilising digitized information and communication technologies.

Officials today made the call at a post-rally discussion organised by offices of the Deputy Commissioner and Jiban Bima Corporation (JBC) at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in celebration of the National Insurance Day-2022.

The Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Insurance Association and Bangladesh Insurance Forum extended assistance to celebrate the day through various programs.

The programs included bringing out a colorful rally followed by the discussion participated by officials of different government departments and insurance companies.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan inaugurated the celebration by releasing balloons with a festoon before the rally participated by officials, civil society members and employees of different insurance companies.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner attended the discussion as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Golam Rabbani in the chair.

Manager-in-charge of JBC for Rangpur Mohammad Abdul Mazid delivered a welcome speech narrating the importance of insurance in every sphere of life.

The chief guest urged insurance companies to create awareness among people about benefits of having insurance, render services and dispose of claims using digitised technologies in a hassle-free manner to accelerate national progress.
