One held over killing of CCC councillor Sohel

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested one of the main accused in a case filed over the killing of Cumilla City Corporation (CCC) councillor Syed Mohammad Sohel.

The arrestee was identified as Sumon, no 4 accused in the case.

The members of RAB-11 arrested him from Cumilla Medical College.

Earlier, Syed Mohammad Roman, brother of Sohel, filed a case with Kotwali Model Police Station early hours of Wednesday mentioning the names of 11 people and 8-10 unidentified people.

Around 4:30pm on Monday, some unidentified miscreants wearing masks entered Three Stars Enterprise office at Kathuriapara in Cumilla city and shot Sohel and his associate Haripad to death. The incident also left six other people injured with bullets.
