Arrest warrants issued against BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and BNP Rajshahi division organizing secretary Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu in a case under the Shahbagh Special Powers Act.

On Monday, Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Kayesh passed the order after taking the charge into cognizance.

Additional Public Prosecutor Tapas Kumar Pal of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court confirmed the matter.

He said, the court accepted the charge sheet filed against them and also issued arrest warrants.

The case was filed at Shahbagh police station in 2018.
