Advocate Siddique Ahmed, former general secretary of Narail District Awami League, died from coronavirus infections at a private hospital in the capital. He was 65.
He breathed his last in the night while undergoing treatment at the hospital in Dhaka.
Siddique Ahmed, a freedom fighter, was tested positive for coronavirus a week ago.
Later, he was taken to Dhaka for better treatment on the advice of doctors in Narail.
Confirming the matter, Hafiz Khan Milon, former secretary for science and technology of the Narail district Awami League said, “Siddique had been suffering from various physical complications for several days”.
