Shawdesh Desk: A girl who failed in the Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination this year reportedly committed suicide at Ashutoshpur Mandalpara village of Doghachi union under Sadar upazila in Pabna on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Muslima Khatun, 14, was a student of Ashutoshpur Government High School, daughter of Md Mahit Sardar, from the area.

Confirming the news, Md Nashim Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station, said as Muslima failed to get desired result, she hanged herself from the ceiling fan of his room with a scarf at night.
Later, on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body of the girl.
