One million doses of Covishield vaccines will reach in Dhaka at 5:40pm on Saturday (Oct 9) from India.
The vaccine is produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII).
Under the deal, Bangladesh government paid in advance of 3 crore Chovishield vaccines.
India so far provided 7 million doses under the commercial supply and gifted 3.3 million doses as gift.
India stopped supply of vaccine in April following massive spread of COVID-19.
However, the Covid situation has now greatly improved and thus India resuming export of vaccine to Bangladesh and other countries.
